安德森癌症中心回应UCA五点声明的原文（中英文）

4月20日，美国华人联合会（UCA）在得知主流媒体《科学》《休斯顿纪事报》报道德州大学安德森癌症中心迫使三名华裔科学家离职，波及十多名华裔科学家的突发新闻之后，第一时间发布五点声明，表达了华人科学家及学术交流的关切。
4月29日，德州大学安德森癌症中心主任皮特•皮斯特斯（Dr.Peter Pisters）通过《休斯顿纪事报》书面回应，对日前由UCA提出的五点声明，表示完全认同和积极响应。

【安德森癌症中心书面回应的原文】
“As a global enterprise, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has a long-standing commitment to supporting and fostering international collaboration. We firmly believe that our mission to end cancer will be accelerated through continued international dialogue and strategic partnerships. Moreover, MD Anderson’s extraordinary strength comes from its diversity and our firm commitment to our core values of Integrity, Discovery, and Caring.
We believe that the five appeals outlined by the United Chinese Americans should apply to all researchers and all countries. We all have an obligation 1) to uphold and strengthen scientific collaborations around the world, 2) to adhere to strengthened compliance efforts and ethical standards, 3) to continue to strengthen international relations through scientific exchanges and educational efforts, 4) to protect intellectual property rights through well-run programs and collaboration agreements and 5) to support training of all stakeholders to reduce implicit bias and discrimination.
Eliminating cancer will require the brilliance, innovation, and collaboration of all researchers around the world. Now more than ever, we must unite in our collective efforts to accelerate discovery and accomplish that goal.”
