Vital is a video series led by a team of passionate volunteers with a mission to expand knowledge and equip viewers with toolkits to nurture their mental health through the lens of the Asian and Asian American cultures. Click below to learn more and view the video library.

MHACC Warm Line provides immediate and confidential emotional support and resources to persons who are facing mental health challenges.

This webpage has a number of resources. We know 988 is not perfect, nor is it able to solve all problems, but it is important to have an extra tool on hand when some of our friends and community need it.

Anti-racism and anti-bullying resources

In the face of rising anti-Asian racism and violence during the pandemic, the experts and youth on the UCA WAVES team have created discussion guides for both parents and youth. These are intended for individual or small group use. Check out the linked documents for the toolkits, which include videos and other media, discussion questions, links to helpful resources, and even a short self-quiz.

Partnering with AACAP and Regional Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at CT and MD, CHATogether presented AAPI Trauma Healing Program. This event was contributed by a village of child and adolescent psychiatrists and trainees. We live performed a skit based on a modified true story, “AAPI Intergenerational Trauma: The Shark Music”, which depicts an Asian immigrant family struggled with acculturative stress, adversity, refugee trauma, but unable to connect emotionally. We had a panel to further discuss on the skit contents and share how cultural trauma may impact on AAPI children and family mental health. *All participants consented for recording and sharing the recorded video.
