Tianyao Tim He is a 1.5 generation Chinese American. He has been a member of the United Chinese Americans (UCA) Mental Health Initiative since 2018. In 2019, he began speaking about his past and current struggles with mental health in a series of conferences hosted by UCA. Since then, he has been working as a Project Coordinator for the Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Clinical Scholar’s Project “Breaking Silences in the Model Minority” and began his MLA with a concentration in Psychology through Harvard Extension School. Through this fellowship, he hopes to inspire others to seek help, speak up, and reduce the stigma of mental health in their respective communities.
