Sharon is a counselor and member of the US Supreme Court, the New York State Bar, the New York Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association. She is also a Board member for Legal Immigration Association and United Chinese Americans Illinois Chapter, dedicated to the general well-being for Chinese-immigrants for the past years. Her services and achievements to promote legislative and administrative changes within the US immigration system were reported by numerous newspapers and other media outlets in the U.S.

Sharon is passionate about youth mental heath and equity and justice for racial minorities. She cofounded One Book One World, a nonprofit organization that promotes images of Asian American and their contribution to this country.
