Elaine Peng

Director of Training

Elaine Peng is the founder of Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (MHACC), otherwise known as NAMI Chinese. Blessed with a compassion and understanding from soul-wracking family tragedy and personal experience with mental illness, Elaine took a vow, after she had recovered, to do all she can to help families with the same problems in the much neglected and underserved Chinese community. She is now a renowned mental health advocator and educator in the United States. In 2020 alone, MHACC has successfully prevented 23 suicides in the United States that had roots in depression. Her outstanding contributions have been reported by local and overseas media such as the World Journal, China Daily, Sing Tao US, US China Press, Chinese Radio, VICE and KTSF.
