Dr. Xiaohong Gao

Dr. Xiaohong Gao is an expert and leader in the field of educational and psychological measurement with over two decades of progressively technical and leadership roles at a global leading testing company. As a principal psychometrician and senior director, she has provided thought leadership and technical oversight for large-scale assessment programs and consulted with stakeholders and customers on a wide range of measurement issues. She has extensive experience in leading and managing psychometric and statistical research and operational deliverables including assessment design, test development, program evaluation, field studies, data analytics, and technical reports. She has broad research interests and strong expertise in educational measurement research and innovation with over 90 publications and presentations in the areas of test theory, assessment design, scale development and linking, and measurement reliability and validity. In addition, Dr. Gao has served in professional organizations as conference program co-chair, committee member, instructor, invited speaker, discussant, proposal and manuscript reviewer, and program evaluator. Dr. Gao has provided program evaluation and statistical analysis consultations to United Chinese Americans (UCA) and is leading program evaluation for several of UCA’s Youth Mental Health initiatives.
