Jessica Pei is currently a senior at Naperville Central High School and a second-generation Chinese American. In her free time she likes to read and bake. In college, she plans to pursue her interests in computer science. Growing up as a Chinese American led her to experience the overwhelming stress from parental pressure to excel academically and the confusion of having both a Chinese and American identity. After coming to terms with her own struggles with mental health, she now hopes to advocate for more awareness of youth mental health outlets and resources.
