Hannah Feng

Youth Ambassador - Research & Commuication
Hannah Feng is a third-year Psychology and International Studies double major at the University of Michigan. After earning interning at a private mental health clinic last summer. She became interested in pursuing Asian Community Mental Health as a clinical psychologist. Last summer, Hannah joined the inaugural cohort of the 2022 Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service, connecting her with resources and an incredible network of future public service leaders. Hannah is studying abroad at the National University of Singapore in Spring 2023, where she is exploring the Asian diaspora, the intersection of East and West, and the mental health landscape in Asia. This summer, Hannah will continue developing her understanding of Asian mental health by interning at the Vancouver Island Counseling Center for Immigrants and Refugees.

Hannah has always been interested in community service and helping professions, but her life experiences with mental health stigma in her Chinese communities have directed this passion in the field of Asian Community Mental Health. Hannah is thrilled to be joining WAVES as a youth ambassador and research assistant, where she hopes to facilitate important dialogues about mental well-being and contribute to the sparse research on Asian American mental health.
